The Training System on Visual Acuity - SiTAV was developed due to the need for training of visual acuity with the aid of a diagrammatic specific disease citrus canker caused by Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri, which is applied to the training academics Undergraduate and Graduate Course of Agronomy, University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá, Paraná, Brazil.

The system developer is Academic Program Graduate in Agronomy (PGA) UEM-Maringa, Master Hudson Sérgio de Souza, supervised by Prof. phytopathologist. Dr. William Mário Nunes de Carvalho, a researcher at the Center for Research in Applied Biotechnology (NBA).

The system SiTAV 1.0 was the first version of this web application, starting development on December 10, 2012, which was designed to be accessed via the Internet, being completely independent of the main operating platforms available today (Windows, Mac and Linux).
